ultra brightening serum

Sun damage? Acne scarring? Melasma?

This serum provides a 1-2 punch for brightening the skin and reducing of hyperpigmentation from sun damage, acne scarring, melasma or aging.

  • Tranexamic acid works to reduce and remove any excess pigmentation in the skin caused by scarring and sun damage.
  • Arbutin works to reduce overall hyperpigmentation and generally brightens the skin.

While tranexamic acid and arbutin have similar properties in reducing hyperpigmentation, their effectiveness has earned them popularity in the skincare market. Together, these two will combat hyperpigmentation and brighten your skin. Peptides add anti-aging properties, making this a great all-around serum.

    illuminate serum

    how to

Apply one or two drops and tap gently into the skin to stimulate absorption. Use morning and night before your moisturizer.

    good for

    aging, pores, wrinkles, & pigmentation

    benefits

    brightening, hydrating, & smoothening

    key ingredients

    tranexamic acid

Similar to hydroquinone with less side effects. Blocks transfer of pigment in skin. Fades discoloration, brightens skin, reduces the appearance of acne scars. Generally, tranexamic acid is safe for all skin types. Those with super sensitive skin or eczema should do a test on the inside of the wrist before use, just to be safe. Ideally, tranexamic acid-containing products would be applied twice a day, but some suggest starting with one application per day to see how it reacts with your skin. Works well with Vitamin C, SPF, hyaluronic acid, retinol.

    arbutin

Lightens dark spots, lessens the appearance of acne scars, helps even out skin tone. Arbutin is generally safe for all skin types. Arbutin can be used twice a day. It is safe to apply on clean skin with other creams and serums. It can also be used in the summer since it does not make skin more sensitive to the sun. Works well with Vitamin C and AHAs. While there are no known negative interactions with other skincare ingredients, heat can degrade the effectiveness of arbutin.

    niacinamide

Also known as Vitamin B3. Brightening, prevents signs of aging, reduces acne. In general, anyone who wants their skin to be bright or prevent aging. You can use it in both morning and evening. Vitamin B3 works well with everything.

    licorice extract

Skin brightener. Inhibits the production of an enzyme needed to produce melanin (pigment) in the skin, helps remove excess melanin, has anti-inflammatory benefits. Anyone looking to reap the spot-fading, skin tone-evening benefits, as well as those looking to soothe irritated skin. Good option for pregnant people looking for a safe way to treat melasma, unlike hydroquinone which cannot be used by pregnant people. Because of its main benefits, it's often mixed with other antioxidants and skin brighteners, such as niacinamide and vitamin C.

    Illumination is a amazing

This serium is the best. I was at the beginning bit sceptical due to the price. However I have no regrets . I have a very sensitive scin with aggressive acne and pigmentation . I also get scars that last for months . But Illumination serium changed everything. I started using it since February and during the lasy 5 months myy skin has improved so much. I use it for my night routine and twice a week in the morning routine.

This serum lasted me six months when cut with the Skoah Vitamin C. My scars appear lighter, if not gone, and my skin tone appears much more even. Very happy with this product, now a FT in my skin care rotation.

I absolutely love the illuminate serum!! I have some acne and acne scarring and this serum with niacinamide has totally reduced both of those issues. I love the consistency as it’s easy to apply and goes on smooth and preps well for my makeup. A little goes a long way! Love it.

    serum for sun spots?

The serum has a nice light scent, but has a faint stickiness when first applying to the skin. It does dry quickly and not sticky at all at that point. Have used it for 2 months now, still no reduction in the appearance of the sun spots on my face, but I’ll keep using it (since I have it), time will tell if it’s truly a miracle serum for sun spots!
