Similar to hydroquinone with less side effects. Blocks transfer of pigment in skin. Fades discoloration, brightens skin, reduces the appearance of acne scars. Generally, tranexamic acid is safe for all skin types. Those with super sensitive skin or eczema should do a test on the inside of the wrist before use, just to be safe. Ideally, tranexamic acid-containing products would be applied twice a day, but some suggest starting with one application per day to see how it reacts with your skin. Works well with Vitamin C, SPF, hyaluronic acid, retinol.
Lightens dark spots, lessens the appearance of acne scars, helps even out skin tone. Arbutin is generally safe for all skin types. Arbutin can be used twice a day. It is safe to apply on clean skin with other creams and serums. It can also be used in the summer since it does not make skin more sensitive to the sun. Works well with Vitamin C and AHAs. While there are no known negative interactions with other skincare ingredients, heat can degrade the effectiveness of arbutin.

Skin brightener. Inhibits the production of an enzyme needed to produce melanin (pigment) in the skin, helps remove excess melanin, has anti-inflammatory benefits. Anyone looking to reap the spot-fading, skin tone-evening benefits, as well as those looking to soothe irritated skin. If you want brighter and healthier looking skin, the illuminate serum will be your best friend. A little of the product goes a long way and easy (and lightly scented) to wear under your favorite moisturizer. I found that i was wearing mostly in the morning with my routine, but you can definitely do it with your evening routine too. Really easy to add a serum to your daily routine - I should know - I’m a busy mom of 2, but still have 10 seconds to add in my new favorite serum.
The texture is beautiful it feels like it really locks into the skin. I’ve been using it for about a month and a half and my skin is so much more glowy!!
Skoah serums have been my favourite for years now! This new serum does not disappoint! It feels ultra hydrating on the skin! Leaves me feeling supple and nourished! I definitely recommend this one!
I like this serum, but it's not the one I reach for the most. I prefer ones with simpler ingredients.
My skin tends to be extremely dry approaching the height of winter time. With the use of the new serum ahead of time in the fall, I was able to keep my skin feeling supple and not peeling due to dryness. The serum has worked wonders in keep my face hydrated 🌟
