Why Mineral Sun Protection?

Over the past 12 months, skoah has reformulated its sun protection products to be 100% mineral sunscreen.

Mineral sunscreens are non-toxic to the environment. A completely mineral sunscreen only uses zinc oxide or titanium dioxide as its active sun protection ingredient.  These active ingredients do not damage the ecosystems in oceans, lakes and rivers. 

Mineral sunscreens contain a natural “shield” against the sun's UVA and UVB rays that instantly and effectively reflect the sun's rays.

A mineral-based ingredient with broad-spectrum sun protection and soothing properties. It forms a physical barrier on the skin to reflect and scatter harmful UVA & UVB rays, making it an effective and safe alternative to chemical sunscreens. Additionally, it is often preferred by those with sensitive skin due to its gentle, non-irritating nature. Zinc Oxide is also considered more environmentally friendly compared to some chemical sunscreens because it doesn't degrade and enter the water supply.

Let the sun shine!

The zinc lotion 30 is a must have for the summer months. It is safe for the environment which is a huge plus. It doesn't leave my skin feeling clogged and it isn't a greasy formula.
